HEMOLIFE INJECTION contains Iron Sucrose which belongs to the group of medicines called Iron preparations. HEMOLIFE INJECTION is used to manage iron deficiency anaemia (blood disorder marked by low iron level in blood) in patients when iron medications become ineffective or cause illness when taken by mouth.
HEMOLIFE INJECTION is not recommended for use in patients allergic to Iron Sucrose, and/or other injectable iron preparations/medicines. It is also not recommended for use in patients suffering from anaemia (not caused by iron deficiency), and in patients with excess iron production in the body or problems associated with ineffective use of iron in the body.
Before receiving HEMOLIFE INJECTION, inform your doctor if you have systemic lupus erythematosus (autoimmune disease), rheumatoid arthritis (chronic inflammatory disorder affecting joints), eczema (skin inflammation), kidney problems (such as chronic kidney disease), and/or liver problems.
HEMOLIFE INJECTION should be used with caution in pregnant women only if it is clearly necessary. It is also advised to be used with caution in breastfeeding women. The medicine is not indicated for use in children and adolescents (aged below 18 years) and is advised to be used with caution in elderly patients (aged 65 years and above) after consulting the doctor.
The most common side effects of receiving HEMOLIFE INJECTION are changes in taste (such as metallic taste), low/high blood pressure, nausea, and/or pain/irritation/itching/discolouration at the injection site. Contact your doctor if any of these symptoms worsen.
